Hey, we’re Kaya & Moon

We’re not your average wedding photographers — and we never wanted to be.

Our story didn’t begin with weddings, traditions, or perfectly posed portraits. It began in music, fashion, and creative spaces, documenting energy, movement, and real human connection.

As deans list graduates and best friends, with a combined 14+ years of experience, we’ve spent over a decade capturing people at their most alive: on dance floors, at festivals, and  in moments that are raw, emotional, fleeting, and beautifully human. That background has shaped everything about how we work today.

For the last 8 years, weddings have become our favourite part of picking up a camera. Weddings hold the same magic we’ve always been drawn to — connection, emotion, chaos, joy, and freedom. 

They’re full of the moments you can’t script: the quiet in-betweens, the big feelings, the hands held a little tighter. Today, as Moonka Weddings, we bring that instinct-led, documentary approach into every wedding day.
